Ethiopia is believed to be the birthplace of coffee and coffee culture is deeply embedded in the society. As legend narrates coffee was discovered in Ethiopia by a goat herder named Kalid. Green coffee beans are freshly roasted in a flat pan over an open flame. The beans are stirred continuously to ensure even roasting, and guests are often invited to inhale the aroma of the coffee, the coffee will be grounded, brewed in a traditional clay pot called Jebena and will be poured to small cup called sini. The coffee ceremony typically involves three rounds of coffee.
