Arrive in Gondar and visit the Royal Enclosure, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its
castles and ancient architecture. Overnight in Gondar.
Drive to Debark, the gateway to Simien Mountains National Park, and begin your trek to
Sankaber, passing through scenic landscapes and highland villages. Camp at Sankaber.
Trek from Sankaber to Geech, passing the stunning Jinbar Waterfall and witnessing
breathtaking views of the Simien Mountains. Spot Gelada baboons along the way. Camp at
Geech.
Hike to the peak of Imet Gogo, known for its incredible panoramic views of deep valleys and
jagged peaks. Continue trekking to Chenek, home to the Walia ibex and Ethiopian wolves. Camp
at Chenek.
Trek from Chenek to Ambiko, a more challenging section that offers rewarding views of the
towering cliffs and stunning landscapes. Overnight in Ambiko.
Summit Ras Dashen, standing at 4,550 meters, Ethiopia’s highest point. The climb is tough, but
the views from the top make it worthwhile. Return to Ambiko for the night.
Trek back to Chenek and drive to Gondar for an overnight stay. Celebrate the completion of
your trek with a relaxing evening in Gondar.
